In the Indian Ocean's embrace, Sainte Anne does glow,
Where the sun kisses the sea, and warm breezes blow.

"Oh how the tides have changed," Bex mused to herself as she boarded the modest dhow, preparing to set sail. Her thoughts lingered on a time that now seemed to be only a dream. She glanced to her crew then. They were like her, shipwrecked and eager to find the elusive pirate's den. She felt it was her way out of the rut she was in, and she was sure that the other two companions felt the same. 

She tossed the grilled fish down to the deck of the dhow, ensuring they had the sustenance needed for the journey ahead. As Bex gripped the wheel, the wind caught the sails, and the dhow began its graceful glide across the silken horizon. Her heart had been heavy with memories of her past, and the dark-maned, former pirate queen steadfastly pushed back the haunting images that threatened to consume her thoughts. The legacy of the Midnight Tempest would live on in her heart, but the captain knew it was time to embark on her next daring quest, to locate the local Kingpin of this new world, and carve a fresh legacy for herself.

"With timeworn dhow, we sail the silken sea,
Pushing back the past, our spirits wild and free.
The legacy endures, a fire in our soul,
Captain Bex leads, as new adventures unroll."

The shanty echoed across the dhow's deck, carried by the gentle winds.
They would begin again, and she, she would prevail again.

Captain Bex Blacksoul, born Rebecca Kane, led a fleet of ships on the Maiden's Shroud Sea. These vessels sailed under the banner of the "Black Tide Corsairs," Bex's pirate company. Blacksoul's own ship was known as "The Midnight Tempest".

However, the tides of fate can be as unpredictable as the sea itself. Bex finds herself shipwrecked on an unfamiliar island and, quite possibly, an entirely different world. Captain Bex Blacksoul now stands at the crossroads of a new and uncharted adventure - stripped of her company, her ship, and her most cherished possessions.
